Maison Mihara Yasuhiro F/W17 Men’s – London

We would like to present to you Maison Mihara Yasuhiro’s Fall/Winter 2017 men’s London collection.

This season the designer pursues “Simplicity”. Challenging the interpretation of the word meaning “basic” or “standard”, Mihara approaches simplicity as complexity through deformed detailing and silhouettes built up from classic styles, such as a seven layer military coat.

Robert Rauschenberg at Tate Modern

If art is supposed to reflect the world around us, than the American artist Robert Rauschenberg is an artist par excellence. Rauschenberg was one of the most important artists in the burgeoning, energetic New York art scene of the mid-2oth Century. His ability to gather materials from the dilapidated, grim streets of New York and morphing them into art remains unparalleled, and his influence on the likes of Andy Warhol, who was heavily influenced by Rauschenberg’s silk-screening techniques, is undeniable.

THE NEW DOVER STREET MARKET: MAINSTREAMING THE AVANT-GARDE

London, United Kingdom – There are now three Dover Street Markets in the world (plus I.T Beijing Market, run by the same company), and none of them located in Dover Street. Following a 200% rent hike in its eponymous location, London’s most forward-thinking mini-department store has moved to Haymarket. The new outlet officially opened last week and is 3 times bigger than the original.
