SZ MIX | EUGENE RABKIN

Dear readers,

We hope you are all Ok. This week we will be publishing music mixes from our friends, and we hope they’ll help you pull through and let you discover or rediscover good music. Here is my quarantine mix to kick things off. When I was putting it together, I mostly thought of the Orange Pig we are supposed to call “President,” of his all-around vileness, and of the kind of society that brought him to power. I am not into uplift, I suppose. Nothing unites these songs except anger, its righteousness, its laser focused power, the kind of anger that comes not from ignorance but from knowledge.

Skinny Puppy – Assimilate
Nine Inch Nails – Burn
Rage Against the Machine – The Ghost of Tom Joad
Bob Dylan – Masters of War
Patti Smith – Glitter In Their Eyes
American Nightmare – The World Is Blue
The Fall – My New House
Sex Pistols – Pretty Vacant
Marilyn Manson – Minute of Decay
David Bowie – I’m Afraid of Americans
Depeche Mode – Nothing
Leonard Cohen – The Future
