Katsuya Kamo was a pioneer in design, particularly renowned for his sculptural headpieces showcased on the runways for brands such as Undercover, Junya Watanabe, and Chanel. Kamo’s work epitomized the blend of artistic beauty and innovation in the fashion scene.
Presented at the Marugame Genichiro-Inokuma Museum of Contemporary Art, “Katsuya Kamo: KAMO HEAD” will be the first art museum exhibition devoted exclusively to the illustrious career of the acclaimed stylist and artist. “Katsuya Kamo: KAMO HEAD” will be available to view from Sunday June 30th till Monday September 24th.
The exhibition offers an unprecedented glimpse into Kamo’s repertoire of his 200 one off headpieces worn by models during shows along with a collection of Kamo-styled fashion magazine and advertising features from publications such as Vogue Paris and Vogue Italia
