Dear readers,
As holidays approach we wanted to share the things we love that might make good gifts. You can click on the title of each product for a link to purchase or on any image to enlarge.
Michael Verheyden Concrete Vase – $225
This is a brilliant take on a humble concrete product by the Belgian product designer (and some-time Rick Owens accessories designer) Michael Verheyden, that satisfies all of our brutalist urges.
Comme des Garcons Floriental Perfume – $131
This is one of our favorite perfume releases of 2015. We love Rei Kawakubo for her relentless pursuit of the seemingly-absurd, here “reimagining a flower that has no scent.” Smells good to us.
Hiroshi Sugimoto: Seascapes – $70
Perhaps our most favorite fall 2015 book release, the deep meditation on the calming power of the water by the revered Japanese photographer. All black and white, obviously.
Mad et Len x Boris Bidjan Saberi candle – $240
You probably know by now how much we love Mad et Len candles and the aesthetic of Boris Bidjan Saberi. Get two for the price of one, so to speak.
Parts Of 4 USB necklace – 811EUR
Evan Sugerman of Parts Of 4 has been making his prehistoric-tinged jewelry in Bali for years now. He also moonlights designing jewelry for Rick Owens sometimes. We thought this blackened silver necklace that contains a USB key a clever mix of the old and the new.
These hand-worked metal frames are one of the most beautiful eyewear designs we have encountered this year.
Werkstatt:Munchen silver bracelet – $630
W:M is revered for its hand-made jewelry, and is by now a household name in our universe.
Taiana Hand-Felted Scarf – $675
Made to order, each one of these scarves is felted by hand by the designer herself. This blood-red color is otherworldly, and, yes, they come in black.
Horisaki makes his hats in Sweden. This burnt rabbit-felt hat is one of his best.
GUIDI big traveler bag – $1530
We thought we would end our gift guide with a classic. Happy Holidays!
