Negotiations – What’s the Best Strategy?

    Hey everyone,

I'm in the middle of a tough negotiation, and the other party just threw a curveball – they've started making threats, like walking away from the deal if I don’t meet certain demands. It’s caught me off guard, and I’m not sure how to respond without caving or escalating things.

How do you all handle threats like this? Any advice on keeping things calm but still standing my ground?

Ugh, walk away threats are the worst! I agree, staying calm is crucial. Sometimes, acknowledging their concerns and calmly reiterating your position can help. Also, have a BATNA (Best Alternative To a Negotiated Agreement) in mind. It gives you leverage. Anyone have other strategies they use?
