thanks for the input guys, appreciate it! I find the wool gab hakama's to be a little more challenging to wear than the cotton one so I thought I might give them a try.. May be I need to switch the top to something more loose so it'll hide my small body structure better.

shuit, the line is actually quite nice and androgynous. i like this style on you, its a pleasant interpretation of YY. would love to see the outfit in motion.every man has inside himself a parasitic being who is acting not at all to his advantage

Vans are okay imo. I don't quiet understand the comment of Vans not adding anything.....Perhaps a pair of killer derbies will be better here but nothing else will make much of a difference..... In fact these vans aren't much different from the canvas sneakers that YY and Y's used to offer.
Shuit that's an awesome fit, though a bit too feminine for my taste. wearing a looser top like the classic YY long jacket will definitely help.

What does too feminine mean, and why are you telling a dude that looks like a kick ass samurai that he is too dainty?
If a lady posted in the way too common male uniform of leather - pant - boot* would you tell her, no, that's too masculine?
Re: da vanz
They work
But a really sleek and narrow soled slipper would be better
Like an opera pump without the bow
If you're going to dress like a member of the royal Heian court then it is best to go all the way.
Me, I'm from the future so I must wear chunky space chopines to lift my feet above the radioactive filth.
*I wear this too...

I am super grateful of all your thought SZ members! I really really appreciate it, all of you..
Before getting vans- I actually have the idea of buying a simple martial art/kungfu sandals in mind:
but then the sole is too thin for my liking since I walk quite a lot on a daily routine so I decided to go with vans instead.
