rosenrot, most have already commented on how great the coat is, and it certainly is beautiful on you, but the chestnut nail heel boots take it over the top...one of my favorite boots...and how come no one mentioned that fact that there is a huge celine suitcase in the photo? an odd pairing but very chic.
Thanks rider. I've been a huge Celine fan since the first season Phoebe Philo was recruited.

I like it, but its become too much of an "It" bag, and the only people I ever see carrying it are hype-stricken lady boys and tacky women. You wear it well though.
Thanks ! The Coat is a Frank Leder one that had been waiting for months in Andrew's sales thread, one or two years back. No one seemed interested in such a bulky piece of wool at that time, so I had it for cheap. It's been my favourite winter piece since.
It was originally unlined : I had it lined in off-white canvas and just got it back from the tailor this morning. She did a great job, mostly by hand. Looks even better now. I love the way the white lining serves as a frame to a slim black silhouette when the coat is worn open.
I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.
Very dramatic, it creates a powerful silhouette and the sleeves hit at the perfect length, looks great with the collar up. I agree the framing of the white lining and the deep red scarf brings it all together. Very nice, inspiring.
Thanks all ; here's another set of pics showing another combination - wider, thicker pants, heavier knit - that I feel more satisfying. I'll stop posting outfits for a while after that.
MailMoth, nice pics. All black coupled with the snowy backgrounds conveys a dramatic sense of austerity. The colored accents of the hat and scarf help break up the monotony a bit. Great looks though.
Racefortheprize, nice fit on the RO shearling jacket. Perhaps pairing with slimmer, more fitted pants and combat boots might help make the look a bit cleaner and more sleek. Nice look though. And quite the impressive collection of clothing/shoe boxes in the background!
