Mike, yeah that's my only gripe with Harveys. He's almost got TOO much there. Did you see a Germany based brand that he carries a lot of? The name of the clothing line escapes me now and his place has been the only place I've seen it. </P>


S is such a fun guy to talk to though. I spent an hour in there when I first got to Berlin and he, my girlfriend and i just talked about East/West Berlin and about how he got that sign that is the centerpiece of his store. It's really quite something.</P>


You gotta love the newpaper photo of him at the rally with JFK in the changing room too!!! </P>


He has a level of pride and passion in his store and in life that you really don't see in many other places. To go from a sparse life in communist east berlin to secretly getting over the Wall into west Berlin and being involved in everything around the wall coming down is quite something. He's also really proud of his phone [73] He loves that vintage!</P>

south willard in LA stocks it and posts it online. the buy isn't as good as ulf haines, as he usually buys a ton of it, although the prices will be better in LA. good reason to take a trip to berlin though.</P>

How is the fit on that coat and the other exploder puffier coats? What real size are you vs. the size in the coat?</P>


Gonna see if I should be keeping an eye out for one on yahoo auctions or something... if it's cheap(ish)....</P>

This one is a Small, and while it's roomy in the body, the shoulders are pretty fitted, almost a tad too narrow if you pull your shoulders back - there isn't much give. It's similar in fit to the Small RO coat with the huge hood that I also own - putting my hands in the pockets pulls around the shoulders, but around the torso it's roomy. Meanwhile because the puffier one I own has a strap closure attached to the shoulder seams, it pulls around the shoulders in a similar way so I got the Medium, which seems right (although the body is cutaway style on the puffer, so it tends to flare out). As far as size goes, I'm normally a Dior 46/ Geller 48.
