STT, a discussion can be very interesting and entertaining. I enjoyed reading most of it and learned some things I did not know before. But quoting one study or research after another is no discussion and will lead to nowhere. The last page of this thread is just boring including my own post with the same picture of that woman.

Thats why I liked Martin Margiela so much, he stripped away all these social constructs and just experimented with shapes and proportions and see is it visually appealing. No marketing, magazines, brand/look/style tribalism, social definitions of beauty or even if it would sell. Just ideas, process and see what things look like at the end.
now thats pure sex.

Sorry to interrupt.
As for the discussion above, I must admit that I hardly understand the point. Wether sexual orientations, desire for multiple partners, etc., are conditioned by genes, or induced by personal history and social background, or by all of those factors, it won't change the fact that those who experiment those inclinations have to deal with them, along with the way they are perceived by others.
I don't see how demonstrating that they root in nature makes them more or less acceptable in a given community - since arguments of that kind are generally borrowed to scientific works, which do not reach religious fundamentalists, for very obvious reasons.
Nor do I see why they should be seen as mere "social diseases" - acquired and therefore curable - if the contrary had to be demonstrated. It is not because an inclination comes from one's experience as a social being that it has to be considered as less weighty in one's psychism. Sometimes I have this feeling that people need to stick to that old metaphysic according to which everything that don't proceed from some non-human sphere - wether it be God or nature - is somewhat devoid of legitimity.I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.
