I agree with Mona, but for a more precise reason. For what I see, Interest1 has quite strong, muscular hands, and this french manicure thing (oh why that name ?) makes them look like talons. This is uncanny and, as a man, makes me feel a bit uneasy. Reminds me of some castration complex related mythological female monster.
Yeah, I'm easily impressed
Is saying this unrelated to an outfit's appreciation ? I don't think so. It is still all about what you decide to stress and what you don't.
Is this disrespectful to Interest1, or agressive ? This is certainly not my intention. I'm just saying that IMO this choice doesn't match her hand's morphology. Nothing more.I can see a hat, I can see a cat,
I can see a man with a baseball bat.

I know my timing could've been better, but when this argument started i was away, and when i got back it seemed to have blown over, so i pm'd mona my support. Thank you everyone who shows her and fuuma support in their pov's. This argument shows just how much some people in here need to work on their gender views. It makes me understand alot more why I have met such resistance in here with my liberal ways. I thought peoples basic values were more up to date and less victorian.
It's quite weird and silly that people are arguing about the nail thing when that clearly isn't the discussion.
My golden rule is: the difference is always greater between individuals in a group than inbetween those groups.

and I don't mind a little misogyny every now and then, call me strange but...Last edited by genevieveryoko; 12-11-2009, 05:36 PM.

I can't believe this is still going. Apart from a few insults the differences between the two sides are what I experience every day. Prejudices, generalizations, misunderstanding, over-interpretation... So what? The topic is: nails!
My opinion, late and nothing new from what came before: If the clothes are not just a disguise, everything belongs to an outfit, even the attitude. Therefore everything can be discussed and criticised, of course on a reasonable level.
To change the subject, let's talk about
