are the double jointed boots really supposed to be that black? Mine are a dark green color, would love to make them blacker but afraid it won't look right... I've had bad experiences trying to make shoes darker.

Those shoes are making me sad. Why, oh why, did they crop up immediately after I decided to finally properly furnish my house? The double jointed ones have been dream shoes since I first saw them.
