"AVANT GUARDE HIGHEST FASHION. NOW NOW this is it people, these are the brands no one fucking knows and people are like WTF. they do everything by hand in their freaking secret basement and shit."
i'm pretty sure it doesn't cost that much to do it. i think m&m's has a program where you pay some flat fee to have them screen whatever graphic on the candy.

I never understood why menswear for Balenciaga is such an afterthought. I think they could've easily raised it's image the way Lanvin has. Bad management, if you ask me.

Or stingy management perhaps, since he was under a lot of pressure to turn a profit (I can't be sure but I think they've just begun to break even in 2006). If they'd just allocate the budget for a proper runway show the line would garner a lotmore publicity than itdoes now. Most people aren't even aware that Balenciaga makes menswear, and if they are, the association with the horrid licensed stuff sold in the Far East seems more likely.
It's tragic that for most run-of-the-mill fashionistas, the word Balenciaga starts and ends with the ubiquitous motorcycle handbag. And I've never remotely understood the allure of that thing from day 1.
