1. Julius F/W high collar- the collar and fit are spot on, Julius hasn't lost their touch with leather jackets
2. Kazuyuki Kumagai F/W grey linen coat- love this coat to death, thanks for convincing me to keep it P
3. Ann D F/W lace up boots- great shape and the distressed finish tops it off.
4. Rick Owens F/W mantle- shit is crazy
5. Julius F/W large gas mask bag- I use this thing nearly every day, perfect size and fantastic leather.

excellent list, but I'd add the ccp s/s 08 derbies and bump the tattooine from honorable mention to main attraction.

2008 - The year of the outerwear. I came to the realization that this is where I want to spend money - before it used to be knits. This was probably due to insane prices all around, and getting an expensive jacket somehow felt more justifiable than an expensive tshirt. Also the year I went crazy and bought things at retail - was celebrating meeting Ann I suppose. Anyway, without further ado.
Volga Volga matrix coat - 50% cotton - 50% origami paper.
CDG H+ beige trench (the middle one)
Rick Owens cream summer cotton jacket with black leather inserts (like this, but without a hood)
Yohji Yamamoto asymmetric light coat with a chest pocket
Junya Watanabe boiled wool biker coat

snafu---i don't own all of my honorable mentions, but i think part of the fashion equation is owning something to know how much it becomes a part of you. also, my brain hasn't worked in three days so its easier to go with whats around and i figured everybody else would fill in the blank and maybe we could agree on something, pretty much like the fencing jacket last year...i think next year i wont own much of my list.
mal--yes, nylon was the other element eluding meOne wonders where it will end, when everything has become gay.
