^^is this the mudcloth u are referring to? i wondered about this material. i like the appearance and was thinking to buy but if it falls apart i want to know so i can pass..
dying and coming back gives you considerable perspective
^^^ I've not come across 'mudcloth', but I have a pair in 'hog' that look about the same, and they started to split and come apart at the pockets and crotch after only 3 wears... I was mightily p*ssed off... RO quality control is FAR too lax.
i have the hog too and it is like a frankenstein jean i've patched it so much. every few wears i find a new hole. this mudcloth is i think kind of a twill. not denim. i wanted it because it is light like poplin. but again, if the dye method is weakening the fabric then i will pass...

I have the poplin's in hog as well (with the very subtle ripstop pattern?), and mine are holding up quite nicely. I've been wearing them regularly and have washed them a few times and haven't noticed any damage whatsoever.
*knock on wood*
i traded my LUC jeans + Julius belt + Neil Barrett jeans for a blamain biker jeans
on another note can someone tell me about the durability of these http://www.antonioli.eu/products/934...-shoes?gen=men ?
i have only had older season ricks and haven't dealt with the crepe sole yet, but these are pretty intriguing.
I've had a pair of combat boots with that same sole on it for about a year, and they've held up very well so far. They're definitely more durable than the garbage soles on his old high tops, but that isn't exactly the highest of compliments.
those are gorgeous. only thing is i've had problems with the soles of various rick combats and side-zips, where the sole's layers split near toe, and keep doing it no matter how many times i take them to a cobbler. not a big deal, but annoying all the same... leather, zips and seams all hold up great though. so that's a 'yes' from me...
