Iam considering holding on to this jacket , Purchased it cause I loved the color & treatment on the leather but it hardly gets any wear as I have and always have had issues with shoulder epaulet's

Should I get them removed?
Is it easy to do?
Can someone with photo shop skills fix this image for me minus the shoulder things , so I can see what it looks like ?

swami, that's a nice jacket (yours, not just jude's) i don't think removing the epaulets should be a huge deal, for a competent tailor. you could add loops, so they can be removed and added back in if you like, as well.

that said, i've seen a couple of jut necks floating around recently, for fairly decent prices.

Torn between two pairs of boots

I am torn between a great pair of Avantdietro's



and MA+ Staple camel leather boots (ankle version):



Both very different but I need one pair to rule them all for the winter.

Thoughts?

I'm sure they are removable, looks like they are sewn in between the shoulder seam. if you cut them off, it'll probably leave a small stub. fully removing it would require opening the shoulder seam, which shouldn't be difficult for a tailor to do.

would look much better without them, I think.

^ Sasha, the AVs are a little harder to find than the MA+ even though 2 have been on the classifieds for a while. But the MA+ will likely hold up better for heavy duty winter wear. Not sure what your winters look like in your part of the world.

i would leave the epaulets on swami. they just blend in and disappear. i usually wear this jacket with a hooded something or other that obscures the epaulets anyway. i prefer the ro rider to the julius that jude is wearing.
