    your guiltiest purchase(s)?

i just bought one of these givenchy lanyards with a keyring at the end, and 'pig slut' feels a bit more appropriate than brand whore at the moment

i've been doing this relaxed, sporty (even sort of manly) thing for a while now and as a result i've stopped wearing necklaces and i really miss accessorizing and this somehow just seemed to be a perfectly simple/elegant solution

right? RIGHT? yea. share your stupid, and/or stupidly expensive purchases and make me feel better. and/or reprimand me for being another callous consumerist. and/or confirm the validity of my purchase. or better yet, all three, simultaneously

I don't like the branded grosgrain strap, but other than that I like the metal detailing. It reminds me of this which will become mine at some point. I know Tisci has been making it increasingly hard for older Givenchy fans to enjoy his work but I still kind of like what he does, even though I would never buy it outside of eBay.

As far as my past purchases are concerned... I don't even know where to begin.

First of all, my style philosophy is that I'm young and decent looking so I can pull off whatever I want. Second, I usually really like how garments look on a hanger, without conceptualizing how they would look on a (my) body. These principles have resulted in a vast amount of stuff that shouldn't be in anyone's closet.

I guess a good start would be my Gucci by Tom Ford embroidered silk shirt. Thankfully I bought it for a steal, and it's pretty impressive merely considering the time spent to do the embroidery (there was one on eBay and the guy tried to sell it for 3,5k). But it looks pretty ridiculous, unless if I had a massive mansion with a pool and a cocaine addiction. And had an awful taste. Only the latter is true though, so it just sits in my wardrobe serving as a reminder of something I haven't quite figured out yet.

And for some reason the Greek eurotrash middle class scum in me loves puffer jackets. I just bought a Givenchy one, which looks so shiny and bad. My girlfriend and everyone else I know hate it, but I kind of like its warmth and feel vaguely attracted by its postmodern polyamide glamour.

    Lol.

Also, two days ago I bought a thick ring by Chrome Hearts. Surprisingly everyone loves it, and this made me feel better about the fact that I spent a ridiculous amount of money for a cheap looking, crudely made silver ring that reads 'Fuck You'.

        same here bro!!
I got most compliments from CH accessories. When it comes to Ann D, the word "WTF" pops more often.

I bought an Ann D suit on ebay yesterday with no idea what season it's from and without very clear pictures. First time I've ever really just impulsively bought something without thinking it over; I have a feeling it's going to be from like 1996.

It was really cheap, though, so oh well.

Ginormous DRKSHDW hoodie. Rains too often in Seattle to get much wear, and it's too large to fit under any of my jackets. Comfy as anything when lounging around the house though

Cos old Ann suits fit awful with really short sleeves, and she used that gauzy wool fabric that feels really cheap and 'old' even though it's not.

Haha, yep. The sleeves are normal Ann oversized length, but basically I just blindly purchased something based on brand name, correct dimensions, and low price . It's a wool/rayon blend. I'll find out if it belongs here for sure in a few days I guess. Lol @ the Porche.
