OK collection is up.
There are quite a number of pieces in the collection that are not shown here.
complete collection consist of 30 pieces, encompassing clothes and accessories.
Also there are some images along with a review that are exclusive to Scoute, which can be seen by clicking on the link.
I know you all want to see how the clothes fit on a body, that will be taken care of soon.
I will be doing the look book shoot on a model sometime this week, but don't worry, everything fits great as the garments were created by working between a form and my won body to ensure proper fitting and proportions. Those who came to the show and tried stuff on had the joy of experiencing this.
We are still working out the pricing etc for all the pieces, and considering editing out some of the items to condense the wholesale collection which will be marketed to the stores.
wholesale inquires can be made by emailing: dialogue@zambarrett.com.
Items not a part of the final wholesale collection will be available through special order directly from the studio.
Again we thanks everyone for their kind support here at SZ, you guys have all been amazingly kind to me in so many different ways.
thanks to everyone who attended the show, it was great seeing you all.
talk soon
Blessings

oh my, missed the leather in the other thread, but shiit... that one is amazing! The fabric on the long asym. collar looks so good. And if my budget works out this fall I need those overlock pants, DL pants and the double-buckled belt. Again, zam this is soo good.

That looks awesome! Looking forward to the fit pics (and pricing, but thats a different story).
So these items are going to be available through a retail store, only (e.g. not custom order)?
I see at least four items I want (wish-thinking, of course). Especially the dual-layer drop crotch pants look gorgeous. And the leather, of course. Are you going to update the fabric composition, as well?
Care to elaborate on the electric chair, though?

everything has a meaning, or had some indepth research in the collection, well, except for a few pieces that were just great within themselves without the need for external references............
the Chair isn't an "electric Chair" even though it would electrify you with pain if you sat in it.
Many a small sacrifice was made in its making, I have two scars on my left hand right now where it tried to make a sacrifice out of me.............
Its my remake of a medieval torture chair, a symbol of punishment during the era of Papal rule in Rome/ Europe. Many a souls were made to suffer in those type of chairs for either a Vice or a virtue, depending on the perception of the ruling class. There is a shirt in the collection (the black one in the last pic in the first set of images) that is based on someone who actually experienced that chair. There are small holes in the back of the shirt, referencing the piercings that the prongs would've made through ones clothing and flesh ad the red dots symbolizes the blood marks that would flow from the piercings in the sufferer's skin. the beige muslin on the inside of the back of the shirt, peeking below the hem, references the bandages that would be used to dress the woulds............
Yes we intent to (hopefully secure) about three retail accounts for the line this season, the collection will be edited down to about 20 items that will be a part pf the wholesale collection, the other items will be available by special order by contacting the Studio directlyLast edited by zamb; 09-19-2010, 03:04 PM.“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

thanks CJ, and Eternal
Casey, I would welcome collaborations with other artists that I admire and respect. and certainly in the future I will look into your proposal.
Just wanted to update the thread with this piece and an exclusive image taken from the Scoute website
"40 stripes save one"
The "40 stripes save one" shirt, inspired by an ancient Jewish Torah law which forbids a malefactor from receiving more that 39 lashes for committed. The execution of this concept was achieved by literally simulating a lashing session with a whip dipped in paint and the designer receiving an actual beating. The paint marks from the beating were then transferred to a pattern and stitched into the back of the shirt.

Great stuff.
enterthedirt,
I dislike clothing and fabrics that are too delicate, there are a few knit pieces that are not shown here, that could be considered 'delicate' but are still very sturdy. generally, I just have a stronger liking for fabrics that hold more structure as tailoring is where my strengths lie..................Last edited by zamb; 09-20-2010, 09:17 PM.“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”
