I went to see the Japan Fashion Now exhibit yesterday - it opens to the public today. Everyone must go see this - absolutely fantastic. I took some images for those who cannot make it to NYC. These may not be reproduced outside of SZ without my permission.
The exhibit is organized in two parts. Part 1 is the already familiar work from the Japanese breakthrough of the 80s. Part 2 - the main room - is a recreation of contemporary Tokyo with the backdrop of different Tokyo neighborhoods. On one side you have the work of established and new designers, and on the other side you have non-designer or street fashion.
