I can attest that this boy doesn't lie, and his jacket either. Venus, you're the coolest hobo in town, with your trashed CCP fencing and your empty MA+ wallet ;)

Dude the leather is fine, the seam opened up. I've worn this leather everyday for going on 3 years, including a large portion of time I spent sleeping on couches, floors, and even the street in it
damn, take it to a tailor once your poverty vacation is over.
Maybe you were the real life inspiration for the new Augusta (or A1923 whatever they call themselves now) with the Single shoe that has duct tape wrapped around it.
Talk about hobo chic but spending over a grand on a duct taped shoe is absurd. I grew up duct taping all of my skate shoes but it was a necessary part of life. Like the elbow. At least the wear came naturally.
The line between natural and artificial wear has become so thin, you might as well just buy the duct taped derbies if you like what you see. Isn't it pretty much an extension of the concept of shoes that look like they've been worn for years (eg every other Augusta shoe)?

I don't want to steer the original topic off course so we can gladly discuss this somewhere else but you're batshit insane if you think that rolling duct tape around a shoe is similar to the rigorous process of dyeing, washing and treating leather shoes. It's not like they use sandpaper to scuff up the toes and heels (sorry, Ann) or wear the soles down with a grinder.
This whole idea of paying thousands to look like a homeless man has been discussed to death. It's embarrassing and offensive.

No. Instead they just fold the toe up and down to make the shoes look worn. Same thing. Oh wait, it's not cos it's a 'special treatment'.
The appearance of the leather is a different thing. I for one, would love to see a pair of CCP boots without the pre-creased toes. He did a design like that a while back, but when I posted it in this thread BSR made fun of me.
