The two least interesting conversations to have about Poell are
1. If he/his designs/his marketing technique are elitist or not.
2. What the man himself thinks about the business of fashion. And "When the prince has gathered about him
"All the savants and artists, his riches will be fully employed."

cause since clothing as far as I know have no consciousness and are created by someone,
i'd wanna know what's meant by the clothing themselves having contempt but the creator doesn't..........
I don't buy into the idea of contempt neither from him, no the clothing themselves (if clothing can even be as such)
what think is that he has a specific vision of clothing and he is uncompromising and relentless in that vision.............at least thats what i get form the work................“You know,” he says, with a resilient smile, “it is a hard world for poets.”

Incredible work right there. Would be interested in seeing more views of the dead end coat but I imagine for tailoring/contouring reasons the vertical underarm seams are classic ones with the whole back panel being a singular item with the dead end seams.
And man are the new derbies fucking ugly..

I don't see contempt. How can you sell contempt. If clothes design is art, it is applied art. No one has to buy these clothes. Contempt would be a dead end. This line of argument is over.
What I see is an incredibly inventive, challenging but extremenly wearable collection. This hits all CCP buttons.spinning glue back into horses. . .
