finished blindness on thursday, ironically the day before i got lasek surgery. maybe not the best time to read such a book
still don't know if i liked the book or hated it, or if i can recommend it. it's definitely the opposite of fun to read, and the general type of story is kinda overdone in my opinion. but i don't regret reading it, that's for sure. i liked the impersonal writing style alot. not sure if i liked the ending.
so i guess i still know nothing about this book even after reading it :D

The Universe in a Single Atom by the Dalai Lama
All of his books are very good and very helpful.
This one is about the relationship between science and religion, specifically Buddhism.
If anyone here studies Buddhism hit me up for a chat if you like.

It's solid, like most of Sontag's writing. She was no genius, but an acute observer and she had the ability to put things in order. I admit that I put it down half way and am now totally engrossed in Generation Kill. Will pick Sontag back up once I'm done with that.
I also began rereading Camera Lucida by Barthes, but for some reason it's just fucking annoying. Intellectual masturbation.Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months - Oscar Wilde
