although my favourite pieces are not on here. Medeamaterial is something everyone should listent to. It is a magnificently haunting piece of music, and the text by Heiner Müller is to die for, obviously

Hehe, glad to change one mind! I'm working towards a PhD in composition at the moment and just had to vent some of my frustration at how conservative people in academia are. What's really disappointing is other students are often more conservative than professors.

That's very cool! So are you familiar with the operas of Pascal Dusapin? If so, what's your opinion? If not, you HAVE to check him out, it's really beautiful in my opinion (although as I've stated, my opinion is in now way grounded in any kind of in-depth knowledge: it's just personal taste)
