It's a small label based in Köln - been around for about 10 years or so. Mostly melodic and/or minimal electronic music, wth a lot of German artists on the roster (natch). Overall it's a bit twee for my taste, but there's definitely some nice stuff there.
Really? Yeah i had this impression hearing guys like Roman, quite good but too melodic for my taste too....anyway the Toyama and Masakatsu's songs are very nice, got to explore their works better; thanks fo the informations!
right now i'm bumpin some old Whitney joints on Youtube...I Have Nothing is playin right now. Bodyguard, grade 2 and Pina, the saucy filipina maid who was a good chef and one hell of a personality yet ultimately turned out to be stealing from us. The first woman i ever shared a bed with outside of the family.
is that prurient record good? i never got into him. even in a life setting. the time i saw him, burning star core, destroyed his performance.
I really enjoyed it though definitely not as much as other recent releases Arrowhead or And Still, Waiting. There's lots of looped sample material on the album, which in my opinion makes it much more listenable in a more day-to-day context than most of his other material.
I can't really comment on his live show as I haven't seen him but I can see Burning Star Core being more enjoyable in a live setting just because his sound is more varied than Dom's.
