such is life in football
I am happy for Costa Rica as a Concacaf representative
I just watched the US go down to Belgium, as much as I don't root for the US in Soccer, somehow I wanted them to Win or at least equalize before the end of OT
I am an Argentinian she it comes to the world Cup, but how much can this seriously underperforming team expect Messi to constantly work Magic to bail them out???
Come on, get it together
Same - found myself rooting for the US quite unexpectedly.
Argentina is a joke - WTF is wrong with Di Maria? He's not even showing up to play.
Glad to be back home so I can finally watch some games.

obviously i've been pulling for the US and they did show real heart and tenacity by fighting it out til the end, but man you can't win if you can't keep possession of the ball. hell if it weren't for tim they may have beat us by 8 goals or something...
there's some promising talent on the team. and at least america was watching the games.
one thing i've been thinking is that there hasn't been one team in this tournament that could be considered one of the "great" teams of world cup soccer, but there have been a lot of very good teams and great games. its been way better than south africa was. lord the vuvuzela haunted me...
well the US is out but brazil is still in and my wife is brazilian so there's still a team to root for in my house. boy that little neymar is lethal. every time he touches the ball it feels like something is about to happen.
i've enjoyed watching colombia. i'm kind of secretly pulling for them. i'll miss mexico and chile. but truth be told, it looks to me like the netherlands is going to be tough to beat...
dying and coming back gives you considerable perspective
Argentina is a joke - WTF is wrong with Di Maria? He's not even showing up to play.
I actually thought Di Maria played really well against Switzerland. Most of his crosses and shots were deadly. Got to give props to Benaglio and his bus depot though. Mascherano and Zabaleta did very solid defensive work as well.
We went out onto Hollywood Blvd and found people who claimed to be big fans of the US soccer team and asked them how they think Landon Donovan has been playi...
Well, that wasn't all that exciting to watch (and oftentimes not pretty as well), but i was really impressed by the German defensive midfield. What a difference a double six makes. They did only as much as they needed to and France never really broke through. Ergebnissfussball, I'll take it anyway.
The Brazil - Colombia match was brutal. I understand the concept of letting the game 'flow' and not blowing the whistle every two seconds, but that was something else from the ref. Terrible in every way.
Brazil looked, despite all the pace from their offensive line, quite headless more than once. Even though I am bound by nationality to be pessimistic when it comes to the national team, I think Germany has a fair chance and may even make it to the final this time
