Werkstatt Munchen at L’Eclaireur

If you happen to be in Paris during the men’s fashion week, make sure to stop by L’Eclaireur on Rue Herold where the artisanal jeweler Werkstatt Munchen set up the most comprehensive installation of their work to date. Along the classic products, WM are displaying their forays into mixing siliver with leather to make belts, bracelets, and a tote.

Lost & Found: Rooms

Lost & Found, the artisanal Italian label designed by Ria Dunn, has launched an online shop called Rooms. Here, you can buy L&F archival pieces in addition to their adorable children’s wear, which sprang up from Dunn’s desire to make clothes for her own two kids.

Taking the creative approach, Dunn’s husband, the photographer Alessandro Esteri, shot all stock with Instagram, which superbly matches the label’s purposefully unpolished aesthetic. Shipping is available worldwide.

Gallery Aesthete Opens in Chicago

A new menswear store bowed in Chicago two weeks ago – Gallery Aesthete. A brain child of Stephen Naparstek, the owner of Bonnie and Clyde’s, the new shop offers a carefully selected designer lineup in a stark space designed by Lukas Machnik. Next to the established names like Ann Demeulemeester, Comme des Garcons, and Rick Owens hang clothes by Boris Bidjan Saberi, InAisce and Julius. Faliero Sarti scarves round up the collection. A rotating selection of fine art will be displayed alongside the garments and accessories, to highlight Naparstek’s view that the boundaries between fashion and art have been blurred.

Atelier New York 10 Year Anniversary

Last Saturday we were honored to be a part of another important celebration. Atelier New York, the cutting edge menswear boutique, feted their ten year anniversary. It was an intimate gathering, with designers and representatives from various labels the shop carries flying in from Europe. To mark the occasion, designers from Yohji Yamamoto to Boris Bidjan Saberi produced exclusive pieces for Atelier (my favorite was a version of Ann Demeulemeester’s feather necklace, dipped in silver and stamped “A NY X 10”).

Sruli Recht Relaunches Web Store

There is no doubt in our mind that the Iceland-based designer Sruli Recht is one of the most interesting creators out there. Finally, there is an opportunity to buy his otherworldly designs from his newly relaunched webshop. We highly recommend the wallets, bags, and of course the special edition of StyleZeitgeist magazine.

SHOP | TABO | BRESCIA

Following the success of their first shop Desenzano del Garda, Italy, the founders of Tabo, Riccardo Bettoni & Nicola Tononi, now opened a second boutique in Brescia. The unisex boutique, housed on two floors of a 1940s building is an exercise in aesthetic restrain, with a white interior and minimal decor. Among the more established designers such as Boris Bidjan Saberi, Nicolas Andreas Taralis, A1923, and Julius, the shop will carry brands like InAisce, Masnada, Y.Project. The owners plan on monthly installations and collaborations with designers, artists, and musicians.

Eastern Market Fabrica

Opened late last year, Eastern Market Fabrica is the second location for the Melbourne based renowned retailer. The original location, named Capela after the old chapel it occupies, is one of the most impressive retail spaces we’ve come across, and the new shop doesn’t fall short. The old, tall industrial space has been left minimal and raw on the inside, making the carefully picked furniture and art pieces stand out, not to forget the beautiful clothing.
