Katsuya Kamo at Omotesando Hills

If by chance you will find yourself in Tokyo at the end of March, make sure to stop by the Kamo Head exhibit at Omotesando Hills. Katsuya Kamo was an astoundingly talented creator, whose head pieces regularly graced the catwalks of Undercover, Junya Watanabe, and Chanel. Kamo prematurely passed away in 2020 at the age of 54. On view from March 21st to April 2nd, the exhibit, titled KAMO HEAD, Katsuya Kamo Works 1996-2000 will display an array of objects from his vast body of work. It will consist of 400 objects, 200 of which will be head pieces.

If you cannot make it, however, there is a beautiful online exhibit on Google’s Art & Culture portal. We have also compiled a small retrospective below.
