Teruki Uchise F/W 08.09

Uchise' new line 14th Addiction for the coming season unveiled.

I have not handled the line personally so I have no idea as to the quality of the materials and construction. As far as materials are concerned, there is heavy use of leathers (from what I've gathered). I saw some earlier proto-types and found the pieces to be far too busy for my tastes. They have definitely done some editing since and all for the better. Still not exactly "in tune" with my own sensibilities, but I figure there are those within this growing community that might really dig it.

It looks very good. I must say again though - I fear over-saturation of this type of aesthetic. Of course, selfishly I want to credit SZ for it [86]

I agree with you about over-saturation and I also think SZ is definitely a factor in all this proliferation. That said I can't imagine what will come next except a more formal and rigorous exploration of the suit with untucked shirt and boots thing that Poell is doing. I would rock that day in and day out if I didn't spend most of my waking existence crawling around covered in ink.

Whether you claim credit in jest or all sincerity, much is definitely due here. I believe SZ is the first site to exhibit the collection, so there goes another notch on the belt of the prognosticator. I really don't know how much more water the sponge will hold Faust. I think its about time to lay your fear to rest or embrace it.

btw.. i do agree with you faust. New labels/stores seem to be popping out like mushrooms on a damp autumn night, soon you'll see SZ hittingmainstream. Am just not sure if this is to be welcomes or to be feared.

The model appears to be Jonathan, who used to work at Amalga. I assume this is the label he's working for now. I like the Napoleonic coats, and the rest is very much a good example of the prevailing aesthetic of SZ's goth ninja/deconstructivist tribe.

No. He does tops as well as pants. I have the complete line sheet. I only put up the outerwear as I really dug a couple of the offerings. The pants are nice too, but I was asked not to post them online. Check your pm Daniel.
