Stitches, overall silhouette, leather quality impression. I'd like you to make a closeup photo of zipper stitching, zipper tongue "inside" side, the front.

I can't, I don't have the shoes. Haven't bought them yet.

Zipper tongue on most RO wedges have those two "buttons" on the left side.

Also, the lining on the back is usually double?

Then request these photos from seller with better quality as well.
There are several iterations which have single button i.e. http://www.net-a-porter.com/product/63649
I can't see anything regarding the back lining on your photos (by the way fix your links in this post, they are broken) due to bad quality but you can check how it's usually done at my link, it's double-single-double again with different lining pattern.

i've had this question too and i was just assuming it's an error in size conversion. i've always thought rick to not have half sizes. it seems like to create whole and half sizes in luxury boots/sneakers is pretty inefficient.

yes. actually an SA at IF soho and i were discussing the buttons at length. why did rick use brown wooden buttons on otherwise beautifully cut BLACK jackets? well we couldnt tell you.
