They actually have been discontinued almost a year ago... All gloves with leather zipper or object tanned won't be produced again

Sorry if this has been asked before, but couldn't find it: what is the difference between the drip sneakers in horse (COIL) or kangaroo (ROOMS)? I assume horse is much more sturdy and thicker than kangaroo?

That's pretty much it. I prefer the Roo, though that's all I've owned. Visually it's a more appropriate leather for them. Horse is a tad plain. Doesn't wear the same, but to some they probably look the same. Depends on color / dye as well.

prefer ROO here too, so light and durable. kangaroo leather was used to make military shoes in the past...breathable, lightweight and durable

Faust, maybe this is stating the obvious but there is clear, pronounced dislike on your part towards CCP and the sense of enthusiasm this board has embraced him with. Others designers treated here similarly have gotten years worth of praise from you in interviews, articles, photographs of yourself wearing their work and use of their clothes in styling. Poell and a few others are at best omitted, sometimes described as irrelevant to culture and fashion, even when a very significant number of us are into their work and enjoy discussing it here.

For over 500 pages now.

If this isn't too personal of a question to ask, what is your argument against Poell and the following he enjoys on stylezeitgeist? That he has not produced anything new in the past five years notwithstanding.

The thing with Poell is that he has no dialog with the fashion industry. He's not capitalizing on trends nor participating in the seasonal pony shows. He doesn't use photos of celebrities wearing his clothes as advertisements. He appears to revile fashion. He's kind of like Cezanne, a guy with seemingly endless family money who devotes himself to the one thing he loves. Poell is essentially a tailor and mad scientist.

I am assuming the hostility in that reply is more due to the fact that of these 500 pages, a good chunk of them are comprised of never ending questions about fabric codes.

Hostility? I enjoy Poell.

The obsessive coding of everything is evidence of OCD. He probably counts every tile in his bathroom each time he sits on the toilet. I don't think it's a good idea to get involved in the mental illness of others, so I don't give much thought to the codes.

A pal once mentioned that Poell seemed like the kind of guy who could be an arsonist. That makes sense to me.
