dji! Mazel tov! Can't wait to see more photos.

    On my end:

I've been waiting for a good reason to buy that bag, which has been making me weak in the knees for years, and since I was very suddenly hired by a great company last week I decided this was justified. It'll be the brattier partner to the impossibly large Guidi bag that I drag with me everywhere.

Nice. I don't know why I have a soft spot for Givenchy bags. They are well-designed. I still think the Nightingale is one of the most successful bag designs ever. I mean, I know the bag's name, and that's something, lol.

P.S. Sick spree, dji. I love the Deepti parka especially. And getting married in a CCP suit, does not get more SZ than that.

hah, I could've posted the exact same.

my wife has it in a really nice thick grainy leather, one of the very few "high end" handbags I like.

The Antigona (the one I just purchased) is my personal favorite, but I also have the Easy tote which is likewise elegant. There are definitely tacky versions of each, but in black sugar goatskin they're gorgeous.

Funny, because Givenchy produces some truly garish trash these days and yet I have never wanted a single handbag more in my life.

I finnnnaaallllly got my custom 796z Guidis (FG Horse) that I ordered in February!!! I had them made in the slim shaft and they fit super snug around my ankles which I am MOST PLEASED about. Minor downside is that my 40EU foot now looks extra long in comparison to my twig ankle.

It's a lot nicer looking though than the standard shaft width I think on my ankles... I have the 4006's in the standard width that I got on eBay, and I can almost fit a fist inside the shaft with my ankle in there! Can they be taken in do you think?

I have the same issue with Guidis, even with a pant tuck. I imagine taking them in wouldn't be difficult considering how unstructured they are.

Not really a "recent purchase" but I had a lining added to my Guidi bag

Did you do it yourself? That's amazing. I got the same one last week (reversed grey though), I'd love to get a lining like this.

                      Did nothing myself :)
Picked out the fabric at the fabric market and had the lining added by a random bag repair shop near my house

nicelynice, that's a great idea. Mine stains my fingers with dye when I rummage around in it. Would be nice to have a barrier.

The shaft's generally spacious in Guidis? I don't skip leg day, so that's comforting since I plan on custom ordering a pair of PL2s in January.

This is BRILLIANT and I love that you chose a coloured lining. I find it impossible to find all my black things inside a bag that's black on the inside!
