stunning kunk!......you can't imagine what something like that would cost in central london
.....an amazing and incredible house the should serve you for a lifetime! As DmD says, the history would be interesting to hear.

fingers crossed for you - what is the sqm of something like that?
i assume this will finally solve all your 'family fitting into a house' issues?

well you wouldn't believe what it costs here either :(. going to be ramen and tuna cans for awhile and chef boyardee will be our personal chef.

it is roughly 4200sq ft of liveable space, was originally a boarding house/hotel nuilt by a mr. wood, hence the name the woodshed. it has custom colors and such and was lovingly restored over the last 13 years by the current seller, who is allegedly a descendant of the original builder. I believe there have been 4 owners.

One of my favorites in NYC. Such a beautiful contrast between modern elements and weathered structure.

^ I love the raised "dining room" even though there are no chairs at the table.

I think they should get some art on the walls.

          Do they need a roommate?

My aunt has a 'raised' dining room kinda like that. You may love it now, but you won't once you've scooted your chair back from the table a bit too far...

SANAA are incredible. I feel like they are able to distill their ideas down to the crispest essence. It's stunning.

I think the Rolex Center would just be incredible to experience...it's not often the inclined plane is available for active occupation in architecture, especially not to the extremes seen in this building.

I hope they will allow nature to win back some of the now destroyed areas though.

... must be a pain to maintain though...

The Bofill space is incredible. I would love to rebuild and live in a place like that.

My current space is an old brewery that has been gutted and sectioned into loft/workspaces with original concrete flooring, raw ceilings and original walls. Sections and chunks of concrete, original cork insulation for the refrigerated rooms and random concrete blocks have been left alone in the spaces. It's been a lot of fun sectioning it up into living spaces/work spaces. All the folks living here have done things completely different with their lofts.
