I only have a very modest collection that consists of two pairs of the most beautiful best fitting wool trousers I own, two formal shirts, two casual plaid shirts with small collars and covered plackets, two cardigans and a pullover. I wish I had another pair of pants, a superlative donegal coat she did, a couple of scarves and a leather jacket perhaps.

I had somewhat of an opportunity to purchase these things but I was fairly satisfied with what I had and didn't see the point in the coat and scarves. Looking back now I obviously should have seen it heh. I find her knitwear, trousers and outerwear to be her strong points.

Completely agree about the knitwear and outerwear, I am on the search for a couple jackets/coats of hers.

Both of you need to hit me up during the next IF basement sale. Still heaps of VB left cheap.

Just wanted to thank you guys for digging up the old photographs. They're unforgettable. For me VB captured beautiful, earthy memories in her clothing. The atmosphere she presented always seemed subdued while the clothing was so robust and richly toned. Such a great loss. Hopefully she continues to lend her genius to an industry that, imo, sorely needs to her take on the world...in some shape or form.

Just watched the 2007-2008 video mumma posted, absolutely brilliant. Never knew anything of her work before coming to SZ and slowly over the year I've seen glimpses of it but somehow missed this thread. Love it.

If you're referring to the video Faust posted,
I believe the inspiration for that and the collection (s/s 97)

Does anyone know if she's going to be working for any other Houses or if she's going to continue to design clothing?
